Tea Tuesday

ingenious! end of story.

Ok, not really, but still. That photo is awesome! Just think: some warm cookies and cold milk, a place to put your lemon peel after it's been in your tea or a cute place to put a note for someone to find in the morning.

Here's this week's question: From the warm drinks to the changing leaves to decorations that include squash & pumpkins to bringing out the scarves & warm socks again, what's your favorite part about this time of year? Although this is Tea Tuesday, I'd have to say it's pulling out the warm clothes, scarves, hats and blankets to keep warm. I like layering and bundling up. I can also confidently say that there is not much I love more than an ice cold room and borrowing into a bunch of warm blankets!

Instead of a book quote this week from what I'm reading, I thought I'd share this quote I came across which seems to fit so well with Tea Tuesday:

Sick girl here

Sick, sick, sick. I'm so sick that I cannot even talk. Though this hasn't stopped me yet, today I finally called out of my new job. Somehow answering the phone with this voice (which just keeps getting worse) didn't seem wise. What do you think?



That's right, home from vacation, employed full time ... and sick! No good! Not fun!!

I sent a lot of time with Shanna since she's home raising Silas. We went to pick up Ada from school one day and she wanted to show me her garden plot at school. What a neat idea - each of the kids having their own garden...
I went along with my friends to one of their friend's birthday parties. It was a nice night ... which was capped off by lighting a very old Christmas tree on fire. It was awesome, though looking at the photos afterwards makes me think we should have been a bit more scared...
It was way too early in the morning for all this, but here's the short version of the story: pulling up to the drive thru ATM to get money to go to breakfast, we're behind an old lady on a mobile ... and she was behind a car that had pulled out after using the ATM, then stopped, then had it's passenger door sit open for several minutes before this very interesting woman emerged to wait beside the mobile old woman. Craziness and way too early in the morning...

Working On it Wednesdays

Hmm, well, I've been a bad girl and skipped a week. Oh well, things were overwhelming.

This week I'm going to stay positive. I'm going to clean my room because I think that'll put me in a better mood. I'm going to embrace the compliments that come my way. I'm going to take some more photos and write a bit so I feel more productive too. That's definitely positive!

I'm going to stay as positive as possible ... which should definitely be a challenge with more snow on its way (cabin fever setting in), friends coming to visit (my mom being more laid back with my dad because there's company) and my sister coming home as well for a bit ... that's a lot to try to stay positive through. Oh well, at least the other half of the week will be in FL where it should be easy enough to stay positive.
