Don't wanna jinx it...

I don't want to jinx it ... but this might by our (mine & Matt's) new foster (forever?) baby!!

This little girl is a 3 month old Goldendoodle that I came across on Facebook that needs rescuing. She is with a breeder right now who has bad intentions for her simply because of the fact she's not perfect. :(

Unfortunately (or fortunately for us!), this pup has a condition which will probably cause complete blindness at a very young age. It is in fact the same condition Kreacher the 4 earred kitten has. A real diagnosis is almost impossible until she's at least 6 months old though, so we'll be fostering her for a rescue until then to see if there's anything the rescue can do to correct her eyes.

Will keep you posted!

Website Want Wednesday - a list!

i will marry a man who...

- has a contagious laugh
- is ok driving me everywhere (I hate driving)
- plays piano
- can win over a room ~ what can I say? I love a charmer lol
- takes candid pictures of me/us/our pets/adventures
- is more organized than me (that won't take much)
- bakes pancakes and can make them in funny shapes
- is ok with the idea of desert for breakfast once in a blue moon
- understands my need to help others (especially animals) and comforts (not scolds) me when I take on too much
- finds my quirks adorable and tells me that
- will watch sappy movies like The Notebook with me
- kisses divinely
- speaks Spanish
- understands I will always need at least one pet (probably a Golden Retriever because there's nothing quite like them or their mixes) forever
- wears clothes well
- is proud (not jealous) of any attention I get
- watches a lot of movies
- shares some time with me and two cups of tea
- this kind of adorable-ness would be lovely
- is ok with my slight definite book obsession
- wants a loft room in our home
- understands I've got a lot of levels
- kisses me in the rain
- lovingly provides me with these things (ok, not necessarily, but it wouldn't hurt either)
- and, finally, this kinda love forever...

Hope you're having a good week!

roses, sweets and gooey lovey stuff?

historically this day is like any other, maybe highlighted with some black clothes, a collection of amazing ladies around me and, for the extra embellishment, the title "Fuck Valentine's Day" may be proclaimed as the title/excuse to go out. This year is going to be a bit different and I'm hoping for some of this stuff...
Along with some other stuff. And drinks with the girls may still be a requirement ;)

Tea Tuesday

Today might call for something more like hot chocolate and kahlua...

As of yesterday, I'm 27. Whoa!

Tea Tuesday is reminder to you too, my friends and wanderers that found your way here. Remember that all the good you do won't get done if you're not around or if you aren't properly taking care of yourself.
So, please, take a minute to relax with me at some point today.

Tea Tuesday

classy cup :)

What are you most thankful for this year? My friends (new and old), my family, my health ... cheesy perhaps, but all true. Could things be better? Yes. However, they could be worse too. I have a very supportive group of loved ones, including some phenomenal friends.

Today is definitely a good day for tea though. I'm in need of some comfort ... I'll probably be thinking of and hoping for need a few positive changes. Here's hoping they are coming along with the new season that is right around the corner!

::fingers crossed for a new, wonderful job and some more positive vibes::

Tea Tuesday

cuteness, tea, tattoos, sweetness, hand holding ... there are some great things going on in this photo

Are you happier when you kick back and relax or kick up your heels and see what's out in the world? Well, it's Tuesday, you know what I want to be doing - being lazy with tea! However, I can't say in general that I'm one or the other of these options. I like to think I'm a bit of both. I love my relaxing moments, but I love my time out dancing with my ladies or romping around taking pictures on the farm.

Book quote: "On the way home, Jonny paused in front of the school, checking out the stairs that led up to the front door. It was only a few days earlier that they'd stood as an insurmountable obstacle. Now they didn't seem so scary. A moment later Jonny was pulling Cohen up the steps. If he was Scooby Doo at times -a flushing toilet had sent him scrambling earlier that day- he was Rocky Balboa now." -The Lost Dogs: Michael Vick's Dogs And Their Tale Of Rescue and Redemption

Rules for Tea Tuesday are quite simple - there is a cute tea picture, a question you can answer (like I will be doing) and a quote from my current read. Participate at whatever level you wish to from reading a post, commenting on several posts or adding your own link.

Double Date

My boyfriend and I went on a double date tonight with a co-worker and her boyfriend tonight. We've been trying and trying and trying to get together. I felt like such a dud out to dinner tonight though - no energy, no news, not even any make up on.

Ugh.

I was a sucky double dater tonight. Double dates should be more fun than I was ... but at least we all finally got together.

An Update!

I'm going to see my friends' band tonight! Calico Fields is the version of musicians I know where my best friend Ali is the lead singer. I say "versions" because there's a few bands involving most, if not all of the awesome musicians in Calico Field. I'm pretty excited to finally be getting out to see them.

I am also going out to see Ali's band with the super nice guy who sent me these flowers the other day. Sweet, right? And they're so pretty too! A card? Oh yea. It read: "I thought they might make you smile." They worked. I haven't gotten flowers since, hmmm, a couple years ago on Valentine's Day when my mom ordered flowers to be sent to me from my dad. These were definitely a nice surprise.

Hoping for silly things...

There was a crazy party last night that I went to hoping to run into someone. He ended up not showing, sadly, but other athletes were there and one was pretty cute (note: noticing someone else isn't bad. This guy I was hoping to see I've barely even talked to. He's also simply a cute guy I've seen out a few times and developed a crush on since he's so damn attractive). I didn't want to just approach this random cute guy at the party though. I'm a bit shy at times and was, secretly, hoping he'd approach me - especially with my friend repeatedly telling me he was checking me out.

However, because of who these guys are, there are these hoochie girls that hang around and pretty much throw themselves at the athletes (and their friends too if necessary). It's awful and so, so disgusting. Let's just say that half the things I heard some of these girls have done I would never even think up, let alone consider. Ick! Ick! Ick!

I want to go out on a date, hang out, talk some and just chill. I keep going out to places like that party last night or this South Philly bar we see the athletes out at a lot and I go thinking these guys will suddenly realize I have a lot to offer and approach me. In reality though that's not the case. When it comes to these guys, I just can't seem compete with girls willing to get like gang banged ... and I would never sink that that level. In fact, last night when the cute guy was finally alone (after he'd been with this one girl who was at some point with one of like three different guys), my friend was like: "Now's your chance. Go up to him." All I could think was (oh, and I said this out loud too), "Ugh, no. An STD was not my goal for the night."

So what do I do? I try to comfort myself with the thought they're athletes and probably too dumb to have a conversation with anyway. Sad and shallow of me, but true.
